Oxcarbazepine for Trigeminal Neuralgia? #TrigeminalNeuralgia
Hello! I was just diagnosed with TN today and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions about Oxcarbazepine? I am about to try it for the first time. I also have Hashimotos and Rheumatoid Arthritis. #RheumatoidArthritis #facialpain #HashimotosThyroiditis

HELP! Whats happening to me!
So, I should start off by saying I suffer from #HashimotosThyroiditis and #RheumatoidArthritis but this is new and its terrifying. I started to experience some #facialpain on right side last night after eating. Thought maybe toothache so i brushed and rinsed and then - boom paon spread all of that side of my face. The most intese pain ever. It spread up my head and even down into my throat. I was crying but that hurt more. I noticed if I touched my head ne the top of my ear it makes all the pain more intense. I was thinking #TrigeminalNeuralgia but the pain has lasted non stop for more than 12 hours. Only intensity lowers and worsens. What is happening? What should I do? Please help!!

Every now and then, despite doing everything right my #facialpain /#TrigeminalNeuralgiaType2 (the consultant said it was difficult to differentiate between the two in chronic cases - I've had it more than 20 years) flares up. Sometimes Tara Gethin will lie on the pillow across the top of my head. There was one occasion where she actually put her paw over the affected ear...

Hello, everyone!
I have #TDP , also called #trigeminal #deafferentation pain, and sometimes referred to as #anesthesiadolorosa . The condition is the result of permanent damage to my right trigeminal nerve, which occurred during #microvasculardecompression surgery, or #mvd . I have been in one form of #chronicfacialpain or another for the last 30 years. I would love to chat with others who have #motorcortexstimulators for #facialpain . Carry on, warriors. ❤️

A cute #MightyPets moment
Last night my chronic facial pain was really flaring, and none of the ordinary tricks were helping. My doggo Thurman must have noticed I was in more pain than usual, even though I don't think I was making any obvious signs of discomfort, and he came over and rested his head right on mine -- in the exact spot it was hurting most. It was really incredible, and even though the physical pain didn't go away, it made the whole night better.
