Some people have back hair. Not me. I have something better. I have back flares! Yes, erythromelalgia rises up in my back. It often turns red, burns, and tingles like a sunburn dipped in acid. I know you probably want this too, but it's reserved for the select few, like the VIP area in the club.

EM is unusual enough by itself, but I've been told back flares are very odd. This is probably the most "unusual" place I get flares, but it happens relatively frequently. The best part is that I get to go shirtless, even when it's cold. Fun!

Anyway...what's the most "unusual" way you experience your chronic illness or disability?

It's taken me ages to build up the courage but I finally did it. I made my first video on yoga and chronic pain :) . I made a voice over on how I use yoga as a tool to manage my pain. It isn't a silver bullet but it helps. I have so much more #Spoonie content planned. I'm excited, but I need to pace myself from burning out. I am recently recovering from a 4 week #flare .

As much as I love the beautiful weather coming around lately; I’m also so upset that it’s making me flare more! I’ve made it from winter til now with such a minimal amount of a flare. I just always hate having that feeling of a just a tiny bit of relief to be reminded, yeah it’s still here! Ugh #HeartCondition problems! My 13 year old is currently in the middle of a #flare up with his #pericarditis and my 8 year of had a bad #nosebleed Friday night so she is now on iron with the hope of not developing #Anemia ! the fun never stops around here!!! we are doing ok though as always we #JustKeepSwimming

I try to patch my stronger eye which isn’t great either because while patched it strays as well! 😱😎
