Crazy right? How something so simple to some can feel so hard to others. Saying no can be so hard, especially if you have spent your life saying yes or okay to things you are really not okay with.

Understanding that I could say no was like an epiphany. After that, when bad things would come up and I would say my usual passive " it's okay" I would hear a small voice say "it's not okay" to me. And it did until I had enough strength to say it out loud.
