A little #Inspiration . A little #Advice . Hope this makes you #smile ❤️

You only live once. #faceyourfears and go for it. Follow your heart, don’t let #Anxiety ruin it. Family comes first. True #Love does exist. You have to let it go to know what it’s like without it. If it’s meant to be it will come back and it will not only work out, but be better than before. Never give up #Hope . Love with all your heart, no matter how foolish it may seem. Always say I love you. Never go to bed mad. Love everyone, but have healthy #boundaries . You never know til ya try it. If you don’t go for it and try it, you will never know and will always wonder what would’ve happened. Don’t pass #Judgement . Do you. Take care of your #Family and #Friends but don’t pour from an empty cup. #takecareofyourself , #replenish your cup daily. Don’t let anyone tell you how or who to love. #BeYourself . The right ones will love you for you. Don’t #worry if they like you or not, you’re not here to please them. Do what makes you #happy . Let them #Talk , they don’t know what’s in your #heart and mind so they can’t make decisions for you and have no right to judge.

🎶Don’t worry be happy🎶
🎶Love is my religion🎶
🎶Life’s a journey not a destination🎶

Write yourself a short pep talk for when your fear takes over. #52SmallThings

What’s something you can say to “hype” yourself up when your fear starts to take over? Maybe you have a little mantra that always works for you in these types of situations. Or maybe there’s a line from a song that really resonates with you. Perhaps you prefer to channel inspiration from a higher power, a public figure or someone important in your life (think “What would [person’s name here] do?”).

Share your mini pep talk in the comments below!

What’s one fear you want to overcome? #52SmallThings

Everyone experiences fear. There is fear that arises from situations, such as a fear of falling or getting hurt. There’s also less tangible fear such as fear of failure or loss. Fear can be healthy, but when we let our fear get the best of us, it can become a bit debilitating and turn into an unhealthy form of fear that holds us back from being our best selves.

That’s why this week’s challenge is all about facing your fears. To kick things off, we want you to identify one fear you want to overcome. Maybe your fear is related to driving. Maybe you’re afraid to try out a new doctor or treatment. Or perhaps you want to get the courage to share your health story on The Mighty. There is no shame in being afraid of something. We’ll face these fears together, and we’re here to cheer you on the whole way through.

Ignoring A Minute, Cost Me Years!

I was diagnosed with CPTSD over 6 years ago due to a fatal accident to my grandmother that happened at my home and being with my mother as she passed away only 2 years after. I did YEARS of therapy, coaching and am a coach myself with an advanced psych degree. So, I should have "known better" to ignore a fear, but of course knowing something, does not always mean healing something, especially when it comes to PTSD. With my grandmothers accident, my mind suppressed the image of her, but part of me knows. With my mother however, the image is very vivid and there was one moment, that maybe lasted a minute tops, I refused to talk about out of fear. I had the delusion that because I dealt with everything else, somehow this would just go away. Of course it did not! In fact, it came back strong and hard, thru flashbacks, nightmares and tremors in June, 9 YEARS LATER! I became suicidal for the first time ever and felt like I was going to lose my mind for good. I checked myself into a hospital and was finally talked about those horrific memories. Since then, I have had NO more flashbacks or nightmares, but wow! what it cost me! Ignoring it and being too afraid, cost me the love of my life (I pushed him away of course), months of memory, my home, my executive job, my financial stability and almost my sanity. I am grateful I am on the road to recovery and that I have places like this to share my experience in a safe place with people who truly understand and live it. We are not alone and I for one must remind myself of this everyday.
