    Catameninal Epilepsy #FlareUps #cramps #episodes #heatingpad #Advice

So I was diagnosed with catamenial epilepsy three years ago after having seizure like episodes around my period. However, I wanted to know if anyone else had severe pain and partial blackouts during this time as well?

I’d have these flare ups ( light/food sensitivities , joint pain and GERD) that are so frequent in between it worries me sometimes.

If anyone with catamenial epilepsy has these symptoms too please like this or comment so I know I’m not alone.

What products or solutions have you used to deal with the bright lights from driving at night? #Fibromyalgia

Now that it's winter, it's dark earlier and I can't avoid driving at night. What products or solutions have you used to cope with the bright lights that hurt the eyes? My fibro doctor says that #photosensitivity is a symptom of #Fibromyalgia, but was unable to give me any solutions. #Photosensitive #Astigmatism #Fibromyalgia

If a giant person lives nearby, visible only to you
If they're a sculptor and decide you'd be better as a vase
If they're a chef and set the oven to broil, just char the outside
If they're a tailor and need a new pin cushion

If they have a dog who likes to sit on your chest
If they have a child who doesn't use their inside voice
If they're night owls who really like to talk
If they have the lights on bright to see a little clearer

If no one can see the effects of the giant's life
If your family wonders why you don't come around much
If your friends call less and less each week
If your coworkers get frustrated at the pile of papers on your desk

    You're not alone

If you walk out your front door, in any level of demeanor
If you sit at any table that isn't empty, even with one stranger
If you talk to anyone, even mutter a hello to your neighbor
If you go to any get-together, no matter how you think you look

You're not alone if you try

If you try to do even one small thing today,
Maybe two tomorrow if you're feeling better
If you try to step out into the sunlight, even with your eyes closed
Some effort into living through what no one sees

You're not alone if you're reading this,

If you're hearing or feeling this

If a giant lives near you

    You're not alone

How chronic illness affects my eyes #ChronicIllness #IrlenSyndrome #Photosensitive

Almost all of my illnesses (physical and mental) affect my eyes in some way.
My pupils are so big, because don’t constrict properly, so even in direct sunlight, they’re big. This can lead to permanent blindness, so I always wear dark glasses, regardless of weather. People often ask me if I’m high.
My eyes are bloodshot because my fibro causes hypervigilence, which reduces blinking and increases rapid darting.
The dark bags under my eyes are from exhaustion (in every way), and lack of sleep. The fatigue and lack of sleep are caused by the fibro, bipolar, anxiety, ptsd, etc.
My illnesses cause weight fluctuations. I have been rapidly losing weight (from my and anxiety), which has caused my face to slim, and makes my eyes look ‘sunken’.
I cry very often. From pain, frustration, , sensory overload, emotions, and so much else. So I rub and wipe my eyes a lot, causing the skin redness around my eyes, and damage to the actual cornea and blood vessels.
I also can’t wear any makeup (besides lipstick) because my eyes are extremely sensitive and prone to allergic reactions.

On the upside though; my eyes are green, and
    Green is my favourite colour.

    My story part 1

I have suffered with #Epilepsy since I was 5 years old, but was constantly told I just need more sleep till my sister did her first aid course and had me go see my gp asking for a referral - turned out she was right. I was 13. No medicines worked. We tried countless drugs from the age of 13 onwards but it only carried on getting worse. #JuvenileMyoclonicEpilepsy also #Photosensitive -epilepsy. Then while in college I started getting a crazy #Migraine and eventually regardless of whatever I took nothing would make it go away. So I slept at home for nearly a month. Once it became better and I tried getting out of bed... BAM! Paralysed. I was rushed to hospital and after doing three wrong #LumbarPunctures they found nothing. The worlds best nerve specialist also told me I was lying. -that day, those words... that lady, I will never forget. Going back alittle - I was in hospital for over three months with this now... at the time for some reason I didn’t think anything of it and just got oncwith whatever. Towards the end, with no help from the doctors there, my dad helped me learn to walk again using their frames and crutches when he would come visit. They sent me home with the diagnosis of #Paraparesis and #Parasesis
