Applying for Disability

This is my face right now as I consider the process ahead. 😅

Hello all, I'm asking for tips and advice on applying for disability. The time has finally come. I've been almost totally dependent on my parents for 5 years, and they want to take care of me, but I am now in a situation where it's become necessary to apply.

I'll be researching, but I'd love any advice on what I can do or not do to have the smoothest experience possible.

Thanks! 🩵

Feeling Lonely

Do you ever feel like you're just too odd to fit anywhere? I'm single. I'm childless. I'm almost homebound. I am neurodivergent. I feel like there isn't a spot for me. I'm always trying to fit in to other's mold because there's not one for me.
It's a hard day of wishing I fit better. Wishing one of my labels was more common so I can have a safe place to be myself without having to fight for it.
I'm getting too tired to mask things. But others don't handle unfiltered me well.

Am I alone in this? What do you all do when it just feels like you're too much and not enough all at once?

Any tips/advice for weight loss and clear skin?

I am on medications for my mental health and it makes me feel hungry plus I have really bad acne scars on my face because my dad took me to a dietitian a few years ago and the pill they gave me caused me to have marks all over my face. The pill was called Adipex. I did lose the weight but a few years later I ended up gaining back all the weight and even more weight than I was before

Feeling Stuck

Hello everybody, I hope everyone is doing well this December though it is very cold and I have resorted to using a heated blanket.
I’m feeling a little stuck at the moment. Around 5 years ago my A1C was 9.3% and my average glucose was 220. I was told by a family member I wasn’t diagnosed with diabetes or anything.
But I feel like whatever it is creeping back up in my life again.
-Blurred vision
-Extreme hunger
-Slow healing sores
-Tingling/Numbness
-Fatifue
-Increased bathroom trips
-Lightheadedness/Dizzy
-My hands shake
-Irritability
I’m not sure how I would ask a doctor about this but I’m getting a little concerned because diabetes’s does run in my family.

Happy Diabirthday to me

I got my CWD (Children with Diabetes) award for 25 years of type 1 diabetes! Just wanted to share this milestone. It was weirdly emotional to get the medal in the mail and be recognized for one of my hardest invisible battles. 💙

And no, I did not eat too much sugar as a kid. It was a total coincidence being diagnosed on Halloween! Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease. 👍
*Been asked that question soooo much* 😅
