Live a Little

Hello Everyone.
It has been a while since I was last here. I used to post regularly, but things got caught up. My father passed away last year in #2022 and it was not fun. I was very #sad and did not know what to do. #Grief is never anyone's friend. Sometimes you have to live a little and let go a bit. Tonight I was #Thinking about #Life and all of the #wonderful things that exist. I also think about all the #horrible things that have occured.

I have been #focused on the wrong things lately. Especially with a recent #Diagnosis of #ADHD and how my #Brain never shuts up.

I wondered if I was insane sometimes. I have been #sick a lot the past month and even now. It feels like every other week I am sick with something (virus, stomach problem or a cold). I think I am #okay though. I am going to #KeepMoving forward.

How are you all doing?

Controlling/ignoring rapid #BorderlinePersonalityDisorder rapid mood swings

Do you ever actually notice your moods/emotions flip flopping or #RapidCycling ? I’ve became more aware of it over the years. Especially after #DBT . Just today I was crying, so #depressed for a few mins I felt #Outofcontrol with my #Sobbing . Then in a split second I was in full blown #Rage . Became violent-hitting the dash of the car, slamming car door, slamming things around. Then all of a sudden the #Guilt hit...more crying and sobbing. I consciously knew I was spiraling out of control but no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t calm myself before or even right after it began. It took my husband bringing me to the side and talking with me. Not about what was going on, just about kids and plans for today. He changed the subject and got my mind #focused .
Please tell me I’m not the only one who has to sit back and just let the mood/emotion swings play out? What do y’all do when it happens? #BorderlinePersonalityDisorder #moodswings

Living successfully with fibromyalgia #

I just read the article on 19 scary thoughts of FM and recognise a lot of the issues people are dealing with.
I was #diagnosed 15 years ago and off work for four months during which I tried to #learn as much as possible about the condition and what my #triggers were for #FlareUps . I was single and had a #mortgage to pay off. There was a time I could hardly #move and get in or out of #bed . What really #helped was my personal #Acceptance of FM. In order to #pace myself I returned to work 4 days a week with the Wednesday as my day off. The other thing that really #worked was to keep #moving so I went for short #walks with my dog and #learned #Yoga and #Meditation . I didn’t #dwell on the things I #couldn ’t do but #focused on the things I #could or could do #different . I stayed away from #negative people and surrounded myself with those who had a #positive #outlook on life.
It did take quite a few #years to #learn to #live with FM but once #mastered I found that one still could have a #good life with FM. So the main #ingredients were #knowledge , #Acceptance , #Meditation , #Yoga , #pacing , a #can do #attitude , and #positive #outlook and #people in your life.
