Advice Please 🙏🏼

Hello 👋🏼 I was wondering if anyone here could maybe help me understand Addison’s Disease better and give me any tips or advice that I should know or look out for?? Just yesterday I was told they believe I have Addison’s Disease but I have to get more tests done. I already have a boat load of medical issues and invisible illnesses, so this new “addition” to my life I want to know everything I possibly can. Also, I live alone and have zero help, so knowing anything in case of emergencies would be extra helpful. Thank you in advance 🙏🏼

New to the group

Hi, I’m Sophie - I have Addisons disease (among other things) but that is my only autoimmune condition, fingers crossed it stays that way.
I’m hoping to chat with other people who know the struggles we face 😊

RA: my autoimmune journey

I was diagnosed with RA two years ago. It is responding well to the Humira and Methotrexate treatments that my Rheumatologist has prescribed for it. Before this diagnosis, I had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia for 23 years. I think that I have had the RA for awhile, but between Covid and a Rheumy who was retiring soon and had lost interest, it wasn’t diagnosed until the new Rheumatologist took my case after Covid. She caught it immediately and I am so grateful to God and to her for my diminishing symptoms. #Fibromyalgia #RheumatoidArthritis #Diabetes #AddisonsDisease #GERD #Osteoarthritis #Anxiety #ChronicIllness #ChronicPain

Addison's disease

I am wondering if taking meds before getting up would help with fatigue. Cortisol is highest before waking so I wonder if mimicking this would keep me from having to drag myself out of bed. Since Addison's is only part of my problem it might only help some times. Has anyone else tried this?

Changed the name of the group

Hello friends! You will notice I change the name of the group, even though the purpose of the group has not changed, I want to focus on the journey and not the destination.

This summer, I really want to continue my outdoor adventures and have as much time as I can with the people I love. What are your summer goals?
